Today I took the english parts one and two of the practice HSPA. Well for part two we had to write an essay and I didn't know what a word meant which was bad because my entire essay was centered around that word. Without the definition of that word, I couldn't write my essay.
I didn't want to not complete the essay because that would have seriously hurt my overall grade. So I wrote my essay based on what I thought the word meant. But after the test I found out that noo one knew what this word meant! But when they talked about what they thought it meant, it was far from what I guessed. So when I got home i immediately looked up this word, and the other kids were right! I was completely off with my definition. This means that my essay is a total joke. Whoever reads it is definately going to laugh at me. What's worse is that I didn't even finish my horrible essay. I'm so not looking forward to the results of this test.
I'm actually too embarrassed to say what the word is because it's quite sad that I'm a junior and don't know what it meant. This experience makes me want to read the dictionary (not quite).
Oh well...the worst is over and all I can do is hope I know all the words for the real HSPA.
p.s The writing prompt was stupid anyways.
